From horse’s head to reed

Max Stiegl knows no limits. He cooks everything he comes across in Burgenland: the flavour-rich vegetables of the Seewinkl, the noble wild fowl of the Leitha Mountain, the fish from Lake Neusiedl and, if the opportunity arises, every once in a while a horse’s head, and even the reeds that rim the lake. All this has earned him, among other things, a Michelin star and the title "Chef of the Year".

Meanwhile, he also produces wine, has a new range of ready-to-eat meals, cooks on German television and writes books. And you can stay at his gorgeous estate, too. Welcome to the world of Max Stiegl.
